Granite
Granite is durable and hard wearing choice of material for a work surface and each slab is beautifully unique. This type of natural stone is intrusive igneous and forms deep within the earth over millions of years as the magma cools and solidifies slowly.
Each type of granite has different properties and as such the care required to maintain the natural beauty of a granite work surface will vary. Generally the darker granites are denser than the lighter ones and require less frequent resealing. The sealing process will help to prevent staining of the surface and is straightforward.
