Step 1

Choose your stone.

There are many different stone choices for kitchen work surfaces and you are welcome to browse our website or visit our showroom to view some of the options available. If you can’t find exactly what you are looking for please do give us a call on 01865 951 454 and we will try to source it for you.

We can provide a very accurate quotation based on your kitchen plan or dimensions. If you are looking to change your existing surfaces for stone we can visit you to measure for the purposes of providing a quotation.

We can fabricate your surfaces on a supply only basis or we can template, fabricate and install for you.

Once you have chosen a stone surface that you like a price has been agreed we request a 50% deposit before the order for your stone is been placed. If you have chosen a granite surface you are welcome to visit one of our wholesale suppliers to select the slab or slabs that you would like. We recommend viewing certain granites prior to ordering as granite is a natural product and the colours and patterns will vary (but this is part of the charm when selecting a natural material).

Step 2

After deposit payment has been received and the order confirmed, we will come and make physical templates of the surfaces from which the stone surfaces are fabricated. In order for the templates to be made the below items must be in place:

– All of the kitchen carcasses and end panels must be fixed in their final position and perfectly level. There can be no movement of the carcasses or end panels after the templating appointment as this will effect the fit of the stone surfaces.

– If the kitchen is to have an under mounted or Belfast sink this needs to be fixed in position prior to the templating appointment.

– Over mounted sinks and hobs must be on site for our templater to measure.

– Range cookers, Agas and other free standing cookers must be in position before the templating appointment.

– There must also be a decision maker present at the templating appointment as our templater will need to discuss certain details, regarding the final surfaces.

Step 3

All of the stone surfaces are made in our Oxford work shop from large slabs of granite, quartz or ceramic. The slabs are cut on our state of the art Emmedue machinery and then polished and finished by our team of experienced stonemasons.

Step 4

Once the surfaces have been fabricated one of our experienced teams of fitters will visit to install them. We request that the work area is clear and that all appliances( e.g hobs, over mounted sinks and taps that may have been installed temporarily) are disconnected and are removed. If we are replacing existing surfaces with stone the old surfaces need to be remove prior to installation ( unless we have arranged to remove them for you) . Installation time depends on the size of the kitchen but the majority of kitchen surface installations take no longer than one day. Our fitting teams are tidy, conscientious and respectful of the fact that they are working in your home. Occasionally – if large cuts out are required – the fitters may need to complete a cut when the surface is in situ, extraction is used to keep any dust created to a minimum but extraction of all dust is not possible

All of our fitters strive for 100% customer satisfaction and will as such go the extra mile to ensure that this is achieved.  Once the fitters have completed the installation and tidied away their equipment, they will ask you to look over the finished surfaces to ensure that you are happy. No payments need to be made on the day of installation so you are free to inspect the stone surfaces and our workmanship when the fitters have left.
