Choosing a Granite, Quartz or Ceramic worktop

Step 1

Choose your stone.

There are many different stone choices available for kitchen work surfaces. Each type of stone surface has different properties and a member of our team would be happy to go through the options with you – on the phone, by email or in person at our showroom – to ensure that the surface you select best meets your needs.

All clients are welcome to borrow samples to look at in the comfort of their home.

If you are browsing our website and you are not able to find what you are looking for please do call us or email and we will do our best to source your ideal stone for you.

We recommend viewing certain natural stone prior to purchase as natural stone can vary significantly in terms of colour and pattern from slab to slab. Client’s choosing natural stone surfaces are welcome to visit one of our wholesale suppliers to select the slabs for their kitchen.

Step 2

Quotation.

We can provide very accurate quotations based on kitchen plans or simple dimensions. If you are looking to replace your existing surfaces we can arrange an appointment to visit your home to measure the surfaces and then provide you with a quotation.

Usually our quotations including templating and installation of your surfaces but we can also provide ‘supply only’ quotations if preferred.

Once a stone surface has been selected, and the quotation has been accepted, we request a 50% deposit payment prior to the templating appointment.

Step 3

Templating.

One of our templaters will visit you to make physical templates of your surfaces once your new kitchen cabinets have been installed (or you have placed an order to change your existing surfaces).

We recommend that you are present at the appointment to talk through the details of your surfaces with our templater. These details include the amount of over hang that you would like on the surfaces, how you would like any exposed corners finishing (whether you would like a rounded corner or a squarer one), drainage groove location and other finishing details.

After the templates have been made they are taken back to our Oxford workshop and your surfaces are fabricated using both our state of the art Emmedue machinery and the traditional skills of our stonemasons.

Step 4

Installation

After the templates have been made they are taken back to our Oxford workshop and your surfaces are fabricated using both our state of the art Emmedue machinery and the traditional skills of our stonemasons.

Once the surfaces have been fabricated one of our highly experienced installation teams will visit your home to install your new stone surfaces. Our fitting teams are tidy, conscientious and

respectful of the fact that they are working in your home. All of our fitters strive for 100% customer satisfaction and as such will go the extra mile to ensure that this is achieved. Once the fitters have completed the installation they will ask you to look over the finished surfaces to ensure that you are happy. No payments are required to be made to the fitters so you are free to inspect the surfaces and our craftsmanship after the fitters have left.

Step 5

Aftercare.

Our team is genuinely passionate about providing our clients with beautiful stone surfaces that meet their needs for many, many years to come. Granite, marble, quartz or ceramic-stone work surfaces add functionality, beauty and value to your home and should do so for a long time.

All of our clients are welcome to contact us at any time – whether this is 10 days or 10 years after their installation – if they have any questions or require any further assistance.
